Schools' Photography Competition
The Schools’ Photography Competition has proved to be a resounding success. Forty students from Yately Mannor, Gordons, Farnborough Hill and Tomlinscote entered the competition. All the entries were on display at High Cross Church for a week which allowed visitors to view the pictures.

The quality, standard and diversity of the entries was truly amazing. There were five awards given, Students at Key Stage 2, 3, 4 and 5 together with an overall winner. President Colin (he loves being called that) introduced the evening and presented the Participation Certificates and prizes.

Judging was performed by Mike Reed and Alan Weeks of the WIndlesham and Camberley Camera Club. Mike Reed’s analysis and description of the selected winners and runners up was very interesting. Not only the participants but also most of the spectators benefited from his most expert comments and advice.

The winners were:

Key Stage 2—Laura Kennedy of Yately Manor

Key Stage 3—Hannah Mansell of Farnborough Hill

Key Stage 4—Joe Wood of Tomlinscote

Key Stage 5—Natasha Silcox of Farnborough Hill

Overall Winner—Joe Wood of Tomlinscote

Mum. This is me receiving an award from a real President. But he didn’t have an American accent. Good job you taught me how to curtsy
Look Mum.

All my own work!

Joe Wood Overall Winner

There you are Dad. I told you that the trip to Paris for me to study Parisian culture and hang out on the left bank wasn’t wasted!
