Sketch to be prepared

Public speaking is daunting for most of us. However, given the right preparation, practice and opportunity, it is a very valuable skill for a young person to develop and feel sufficiently confident to undertake.

Recognising this, the Rotary Club, has, for many years, organised a Public Speaking Competition in the Council Chamber at Surrey Heath Borough Council making for a unique experience for the young people taking part.

The Competition normally takes place in February each year with the successful teams go forward to further rounds culminating in a national final.

This is another very important part of the Rotary Club of Camberley‘s Youth Opportunities Programme in partnership with Camberley’s local comprehensive schools, Surrey Heath Borough Council and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst
