Our new President - Mona Andreasson


On 1st July, Dr Mona Andreasson, Bagshot Dental Surgeon and mother of three, will become the first lady President of The Rotary Club of Camberley.

Mona, who was born in Norway but lived all her early life in Northern Sweden. She attained excellent educational results and in 1978 was awarded a Rotary Scholarship, given to people of outstanding ability and potential and for the first time in her life left Sweden to spend one year studying in the USA. After returning home she again went on her travels to France where she studied further before returning to Sweden where she attended Dental College.

In 1995 she married Claes, also a Dental Surgeon. They moved to England and worked in various dental practices before opening their own dental surgery in Bagshot in 1998. They live in Bagshot with their children, Carl aged 12, Emily aged 10 and Eric aged 7

Mona has a very busy life with her business and children but loves to travel, ski and go fishing. Having won her Rotary scholarship, she gained a great interest in the Rotary movement and in 2003 joined the Camberley Club. She states
“Being elected as President is an immense honour and has been something I have strived for since receiving so much help from Rotary in achieving my ambitions.”

Club spokesman Derek Dearmer said, “The Club is looking forward to a fun filled and productive year under Mona’s leadership. She will, I am sure, bring new ideas and enthusiasm to the Club.”
